Tim lives in Coodhue County and raises his family in the Red Wing area. He has a great passion for enriching the District 28A community. Tim is active in a wide variety of activities and takes special pride in his community service providing support for the needs of the District 28A voters.
Tim strongly believing in the importance of a solid education background, ran for and won a seat on the Red Wing School Board in 2004. After gaining
experience and displaying interest and knowledge in the educational
system, Tim was named Board Chair in 2006. He was re-elected to that
same position by his fellow board members in 2007 and 2008.
Tim is active in the Red Wing chapter of the Kiwanis Club, an organization of volunteers committed to improving society through community service and mentoring children. Tim also is a member and past board member of the Church of St. Joseph. His volunteering has also extended to the local YMCA as well as the United Way.
Recognized as a valuable leader, Tim was selected to participate in the Blandin Community Leadership Program. The Blandin Community Leadership Program is designed to develop and sustain healthy
community by building on community strengths, their economic, social, physical, cultural and spiritual needs, work together for the common good, and participate in creating their future. At the Blandin conference, program coordinators reinforce the skills necessary to create prosperous communities and to be effective leaders in the community.
Since Tim believes strongly in the potential of today's youth, he is active
in several local recreational associations. Tim is currently co-chair of the
Red Wing Youth Football Association, and active in the Red Wing Youth
Baseball and Basketball Associations. Tim's participation in these groups
ensures Red Wing's children have a sound environment to learn about
values and commitment.
